Not only that, but more and more top plugin developers are now seriously
investing in supporting Vegas Pro and already tons of them are available
for Vegas already. That also is an indication that a software is doing quite
well and going nowhere.
Catalyst arrival should have actually been viewed as a reassurance, but
instead most viewed it as the opposite and went into panic mode.

The best thing would be if the installer was simply updated.
I remember loving this plugin when it just arrived, pity the author stopped
further development.

I’m not too happy about that but I’ll live with it.
ok, So you have to do it sometimes Craig, but after a time things
may improve with driver updates etc.
As strange as this may sound, i specifically do not use any dedicated GPU
Card in my daily hectic editing system… To cut a long story short, It’s
so stress free, without the complications of the GPU mess that exists at times

Yes, That could be the problem. Not all upgrades necessarily makes things better.
But also Vegas could possibly be having a problem with the format of
that particular video you have on the timeline.

Again, personally i would not go with Optical media (DVD, BLU-RAY).
Yes, hard-drives fail at times, but the ratio of a hard-drive failing
is far less to occur than your DVD, Bluray getting corrupt or unreadable.

Too much in my past, i save my media on Discs, and in a year or two of
proper storage, only to find most of them unreadable or unable to extract
the contents from them.
Storing them on several of my old external Hard-drives and dusting them
off after a year or two, everything is nice and intact, not to mention the
numerous amount of Discs i would have to use to store the many Gigabytes
of media that i have….. Hell No!

The HardDrive is ultimately the best long term option for future proof storage
when all is said and done.
