That’s a strange one. OK, lets give this a shot in the dark:
Try reinstalling Vegas (make sure its the latest build), then

Well lets hope, just to be safe, its best when you save all your projects
along with the Source files (Videos and audios) in one folder on an external
hard drive, in one location.
That i can guarantee you is peace of mind, of never having an issue whenever

Glad you at least found a workaround, thats good.
Vegas sometimes have some odd behavior lol, but trust me, some
of the other NLE’s are a lot weirder in function, lol, less drama with Vegas.Steve Rhoden (Cow Leader)

Unfortunately this problem exists at times when you have multiple veggie
files (.veg) on the timeline in a project. After a while when opening your
project, at times there are errors/difficulty getting it opened, like whats
happening to you.
There is no set solution, renaming the folder the project is in and moving it
to another location often works and even trying several times until you get it
open. BUT personally what i do is simply dont drop any veggie files in my
project timeline anymore, i just take the time to render out what i need and
then drop that on the timeline.

Yeah it’s very promising and ive been following there progress for some time,
but no dedicated editor with years under there belt with a particular NLE
is gonna migrate to Resolve 12 just like that.

From my testings I am led to believe its something with how Dxtory records.
Exactly, Vegas does not sit well with acquired files from Dxtory nor with
some other NLE’s for that matter, problematic most times.Steve Rhoden (Cow Leader)

does not exist for Vegas as yet, a feature i myself would really
