I’ve noticed that sometimes if a parameter (say Scale) is active on the keyframe you’ve copied but not on the keyframe you’re attempting to paste to, it will fail to copy.

I have both 3 and 4 on my system and I’ve noticed no problems.

    Disregard. I’ve found the problem.

I’m not in front of a system, but wouldn’t you just apply a Chroma or Luma key to the image inside the mask track?

A thought would be to throw in add edits to the areas you want to lower and move those sections down to new audio track(s) using the segment tool.

Then highlight the entire new audio track(s) and adjust one section to the new lower level, making sure you have the “apply levels to in/out” (or whatever it’s called) on.

Once that’s set, move the sections back up into the original positions on your original audio track(s) and apply dissolves to all in/out points.

I’ve finally determined that I had all kinds of problems with the font folder containing duplicate entries.

I rolled back and chose to limit the number of new fonts I installed from this new batch and now things appear to be back to normal.

It’s old, but it’s what my company has license to. Plus I don’t like the new monochromatic menu scheme. 😉

FWIW, the font types in the directory (not sure is caps make a difference or not) are:

    TTF, ttf, otf, fon, FON

    with attributes ranging from:

    A, RA and HA.

No, I’m working with Red as a standalone. I haven’t tried it from within Avid yet.

I also have 4.2.1 installed on this system and it has no detectable problems with these new fonts.

Yeah, that’s the solution. Center pans the clips he uses? I’m not familiar with that workflow. What’s the advantage to doing that?

Do you have ‘Better Quality Field Rendering’ or ‘1:2:1 Deflickering’ turned on in your Red Preferences menu?
