Point taken. But why would I want to make my settings site settings? Then I’m just imposing my workflow on somebody else who might not like it. It’s a simple fix IMO if Avid would just take the damn time.

I don’t think Avid has owned Liquid long enough to get those features ported over to the Xpress and MC lines, but I’m purely guessing.

Yeah, I found that particular knowledgebase post and I’ll agree that the whole process is a PITA. The system is capable of quarantining files, yet it won’t tell you which ones are orphaned. It’s a bunch of crap IMHO. Avid, you’re not going to be able to rest upon your media management laurels for much longer.

I’d say SOP is to make the program look like it wasn’t chopped up — a smoothly flowing production that was planned exactly the way you see it on screen at home. Ideally your cutaways are used to emphasize a point, catch a facial expression, etc. Sometimes it’s just to cover bad shooting.

Get a leaf shaped graphic, preferably with an alpha. Drop that into the mask track of your image. Put the image into a container and use its controls to move the leaf shaped composite around the screen. Repeat as necessary.
