how do you create a curved mask on a 3d layer? that is pretty much what i was wanting to do. i was just going to scale and position it manually, but is there a better way to animate the start and end points?

  • what os are you running? on anything but windows xp 64bit, ae cannot use more than 2gb (or the 3gb switch in xp).

i have had some luck with the dnxhd codec for output to a nitris. it works well on the avid side, but be prepared for some headaches on the AE side if you’re not used to working with HD, just cause its compressed doesnt mean it wont be a pain to render. BTW, make sure the ds is on v7.6 QFE 4, cause i had some issues with the previous QFE’s on 7.6
