i am trying to use the write on effect as a matte to reveal an object in my project. i traced the shape of the object, copied the mask shape, and pasted it as the brush position in the write on effect. for some reason the brush path is about 100 pixels or so to the right of where it should be though. what is the problem? is there a way to move the brush position as a whole? i am using v7 and this is the first time i’ve use this effect since i upgraded, does anyone know of a related bug?

did you select at the bottom of the Effect palatte??

    Paint Style: Reveal original Image

also adjust brush spacing to small increment.

    cheers
