As this is a relatively small camera one of the two compact matte boxes from Genus would be a good match. Get value for money and well made.
There is a 4×4 matte box to suit the Blackmagic camera

Hi Paul,
I suggest you look at these products. Which are designed for what you have in mind
The GAP from Genus is great if you want to attach smaller camera such as EX-3 to a Sony VCT-14

The ideal way to do it would be to take it to a transfer house and getting them to do a cross converton a terranex or a snell and wilcox. Otherwise if its for a DVD use compressor.

60hz over firewire into FCP with a 1200 does work last time I tested, so unless some recent update has fixed this issue, I assume this is still the case. Yet to test with 1400.

I haven’t had a chance to test with another monitor yet. So haven’t been able to work out if it is a Dell or a HDlink or 1080/50i issue. Hopefully will be able to test with an Apple 23 later in the week.

Thanks once again for your input. Its always good when a company rep contrbutes to the debate. Yes, I do understand PAL Varicam workflows very well, I do it all the time. As do many other readers of this forum as well. Understandably , you may not be comfortable with the idea with that Apple and Panasonic may be fault. And I know you have to choose you words carefully . But I’m not trying to blame anyone or any company for anything. Blame doesn’t sort out anything. I’m just after straight answers to simple questions. But as both companies seem to constantly evade directly answering the question , it does make one wonder what is going on. So I repeat the question Is it true that AJ-HD1200A isn’t capable of 60hz over firewire? Yes or no? Please Jeff straight answer:)
