If you have a stereo master track, you can not export a 5.1 clip. Is that the issue?

Unless you want to try it with a text editor, there is no way to change them all at one time.

You are exporting and seeing a different image than you see in the program monitor?
Tell us more about your project settings, and what you are exporting to. Exactly as possible.

You could draw the borders with the titler. Or, you could use the clip effect which allows you to set a fill color, then the crop effect after that.

Perhaps a Chroma Key to key out the white.
Why didn’t the other key work? I don’t know. I think it may just be a bug.

I see the advantages of RAID0 to increase the speed of the read/write, but I don’t understand the desire for RAID5. I would rather have multiple sets of RAID0 to keep things fast. Backups I get. Mirroring I don’t. Mainly due to the reduction in speed to get the mirror.

is article is getting pretty old, but it might be the best explanation for why you want SATA drives. Sorry I was so cryptic. As Mike pointed out, it isn’t the terminology, it is sharing the cable that is the problem. Also avoid thinking that partitioned drives help. They don’t.
