It is not an adjustment layer. It is a transparent layer. There is a difference.

There is a nice video card that can do it – the Matrox Parhelia. It knows about Adobe products and is not the same as just copying the PC screen out to the TV like pther cards.

Be careful. If you decide to buy the whole package, you will have wasted $199.

It takes time before Adobe puts up a tryout. You have to buy the download.

The solution to scene detect is to get Cineform Aspect HD 4.0 which we expect to be available tomorrow. Only a $99 upgrade for previous users, and a bargain at $499 for new users.

The Multi-Camera window has a Jog Wheel and a Shuttle, and to the right of that there is a red button to record with. If you don’t have that, then something is really wrong. But the software is too new to know what is wrong. Sorry.

  • Well, if Matrox wants another cheerleader, I am willing to accept a long term loan of a Matrox Axio for editing HDV. I don’t think it would hurt my standing as a “Premiere Pro” guy. But in the meantime, I will spend my time being a cheerleader for Cineform instead.

I have already started shopping for my dual processor dual core system. It looks like I can do it for under $6K and get what I really want. First things first. I have two books to edit and one to rewrite. After that, the money will be there to get my new toys.

But my wife surprised me the other day. I showed her the pictures of the Sony HC1 as I was reviewing the HandsOnHDV DVD, and she wanted to know why I had not bought one yet. As I picked my jaw up off of the floor, I decided it was time to shop for a new PC instead.

That could change a bit if the movies currently being edited on Matrox Axio do well at teh box office and/or get good critical reviews.

My guess is that you are creating a project that does not match the format of the video you are capturing. Tell us exactly which preset you are using, and perhaps we can guide you.
