I looked for one and could not see one. i figured out a way to isolate the cutoff piece and make that into its own file and bring it in. Too weird.

There has been no end time set that I can see. Did you mean Quicktime Player? I don’t have Quicktime Pro. The full piece opens fine in Motion.

I was worried that I would not get any interest with the title I used before. Do you have any information about my problem?

I do have version 6.0.6 The camera is a Sony Handycam HDR-SR1 if that is any use to you. I am simply trying to understand the process of getting footage I shoot with this camera into Final Cut Pro. I cannot believe I am the only person to run into this problem but so far nobody seems to be able to help me.

I have a Sony Handycam that shoots AVCHD and I can’t even figure out how to import the files into the hard drive much less the Final Cut Pro 6 program. Can you tell me what you are doing?

If you figured out how to bring in MTS files into Final Cut Pro without any hassles I would love to hear how you did it. I just figured out the L&T means Log and Transfer. Now I just have to find out what that means. I have a Sony Handycam that shoots AVCHD and the files are saved as an MTS. Once I get the files into Final Cut Pro I have no problems cutting and I am pretty good at using the program. I just can’t figure out how to import my files from my camera. I don’t mind converting them to Quicktime files if I have to. The issue is getting them into the MAC in the first place. I know that this issue was solved when the Intel procs were introduced into MACs but I don’t have the cash to buy a new MAC. Please help if you can.

I am having the same issue. I have a question. Apparently AVCHD cameras save video as MTS files. Do I understand that to solve this issue I need to (somehow) import the files off the card while it is not in the camera? I am really new to this format thing. Please let me know anything you have learned.
