Thanks Chris. Appreciate the quick response… Will give that a try and perhaps I’ll even look at the manual, but being a typical bloke I wont admit to that too quickly!!! 🙂

By way of an update, I’ve tested the Decklink card with an HD component feed from my camcorder with no problems. Also I’ve tested the HD component feed from the PS3 into my TV without any problems. It’s only when I send the HD feed from the PS3 into the Decklink card that everything goes blank..

Could it be that the PS3 ‘sees’ the Decklink card as a capture device and blocks the HD signal???

Thanks Rafael. No haven’t tried to change the extension. FCP/QT simply doesn’t recognize the file as a valid video format. MPEG Streamclip seems to recognize it, but renders the file as a series of white frames!

Not sure why???

Would you please explain what you mean by “play only” menus…

Does this mean “chapter menus” etc are a no go?
