Media Express 3.0.3 Clip Metadata
Anyone else experiencing the inability to name clips that you’re about to capture in Media Express 3.0.3? You can change the clip description, but the clip name remains locked as ‘untitled’! This worked fine in ver 2.4… Seems are rather rudimentary bug!

Hi Steve,
The method of naming clips has changed in v3 of Media Express.
The Description, Scene, Reel etc. boxes have a ‘+’ button next to them. If you click this, it will add whatever you have in that field to the file name. The clapperboard button next to each increments the value in that field.
If you just want to name the file, the description field is all you would need to use. The current Desktop Video manual has some further information on this on p36.

Thanks Chris. Appreciate the quick response… Will give that a try and perhaps I’ll even look at the manual, but being a typical bloke I wont admit to that too quickly!!! 🙂
