    Hi there,

Has anyone had any success importing fused files from Pinnacle’s Liquid Silver into FCP? These files are i-Frame M2V files, but I can’t seem to find anything that will recognise them in Mac land.

I could export them to QT files in the PC environment, but to get decent quality I would have to export them as Uncompressed and the files are just huge! Which is why importing the .m2v file into the Mac would be preferable…

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Steve,
It shouldn’t be much problem to read M2v files in a Mac.
Had you tried to change the extension of the files?

Thanks Rafael. No haven’t tried to change the extension. FCP/QT simply doesn’t recognize the file as a valid video format. MPEG Streamclip seems to recognize it, but renders the file as a series of white frames!

    Not sure why???

    Try setting “.mpg” extension.

Steve – did you ever find a solution to this?
I’ve been having the same problem for a while and can’t figure it out.
I’ve got DVD’s full of archived m2v files I wish I could make usable again!
