Thank you for that. I do have Flip for Mac pro and it plays the sample but I’m trying to figure out how to build the files for the advertising venue to show on their screens. Does Flip for Mac Pro do that or does it just play?

Originally the option was available in Compressor but now it doesn’t seem to be there so I’m unclear how to create one.

November 24, 2013 at 6:01 pm in reply to: event manager X hangs on “Re-opening Final Cut Pro X…” and never closes fcpX.I found a solution to this issue. I emailed the company and they got back to me right away with this response which fixed it immediately.

This happens with a few people after an update, either because there’s a problem with the database file, or a problem with the app itself. Here’s some things to try:
– run Event Manager X and choose Window > Rebuild Database… in case there’s a corrupt database
– manually update Event Manager X:
• Download the latest version from https://assistedediting.intelligentassistance.com/downloads/Event%20Manager%20X.dmg
• Drag Event Manager X to the Applications folder alias
• Choose “Replace file” when prompted. Event Manager X will be copied into your Applications folder– manually trash the databases that EMX creates: the databases are in your user’s Library/Application Support/Assisted Editing folder.
• In Finder hold down the Option key and choose Go > Library
• Find the Application Support folder, and inside that the Assisted Editing folder, and inside that trash the files called Event Manager X.yml and Event Manager X.plist -
Hello
I have this same issue with X 10.3. This is what happens. You can work for hours and everything seems fine. I realized from trial and error that if you test Command Z (undo) to see if it works then you are ok if it still works. YOU MUST TEST THAT every once and a while otherwise you will never know when it decided to randomly stop saving. This is a terrible glitch that must be fixed.
At some point X stops saving your work but doesn’t show any symptoms. I check every once and a while just like FC7 you would save all he time.

Hello
I discovered it was one of the transitions on my selection. I eliminated the transitions and the issue went away. Really weird.Steve

Pluraleyes worked great for me for months. Then in the last month. It just doesn’t line up properly anymore.
I have small clips edited from a Canon 5D in FCP for an interview. Then after I cut the interview I usually pluraleyes the B roll camera full lenth version with the clips. Usually each cut clip lines up perfectly on the exact right spot on the B roll then I cut them and put back together.
Now Pluraleyes puts all the clips and the B roll on a green tab (which usually means everything lines up and is processed) but they are close but don’t line up. all of them are you different amounts each time. Usually 2 to 5 seconds.
I have to open to the beginning to see the old fashion clap to calculate how far out the clips are. Once I find that out I move all Pluraleyes clips that much and it works.
I’ve had to go back to the old fashioned way to get my work done. If this has happened to anyone else it would be great to hear if you had a cure.
Can’t be sure but it seems it started to mess up after a Pluraleyes update.
Thanks
Steve
