You never said you were looking for free. A lot of people worked very hard to create effects that can cover up video.

I would cut just before the wink.

That BBQ stained wall is going to need some serious rotoscoping. FCPX can not do that. As a shooter, I would have seen the stained wall and cleaned it before I shot. I’m gonna guess a re-shoot is not possible.

You can always change your bit rate. This will reduce your file size.

F4V is an mpeg4/h.264 file. Compressor should be able to do it or MPEG Streamclip.

[Tyler Schmalz] “I can hear audio but the picture is black” Sounds like a codec issue. h.264 is NOT an FCP 7 friendly codec.

Did you get the original camera data or just the h.264 files?

You could playback from your computer. Just keep in mind, the output will be a “Computer” signal compared to a “Video” signal. Big difference in color.

Rent an AJA KiPro for playback to the projector for best results.

I would go with the HPX250. Both cameras can shoot the same codec. Mixing codecs will be troublesome in the edit suite.

Are you shooting AVC-I 50 so you can save on P2 card space? If, yes, shoot 30PN.
