You’re going to have to be patient. In the long run, this is the fastest way to achieve what you want. Correct workflow is important.

P2 cards mount fine with my PCD35 and camera in Lion 10.7.3. I’m using ShotPut Pro v4.1.4

I do have a problem with P2 Formatter. It will crash if I insert a P2 card. It only works in Snow Leopard for me.

Try DV NTSC 720×480 or ProRes 720×486.

Depends on which codecs you are editing with. ProRes works perfectly fine. HDV or h.264 is like walking in cement.

After you finished editing your sequence in PAL.

You need to Convert from Pal to NTSC. Compressor can do that. For $99, Nattress plugin can also do the conversion.

The only high definition DVD option is Blu-ray.

Your sequence and footage needs to be an FCP friendly editing codec. ProRes is what you want to convert your clips to.

I’ve never used it. But the BM says the UltaStudio Pro and 3D do. The Express only cross converts 720 to 1080 during capture.

The HPX-500 does not playback AVC-Intra. You will need the HPG-20, HPX370 or HPX250. Any P2 card reader will also work.

Phil you need to have the codecs installed in order to see them. Sell your FS-100 and invest in P2 cards. Premiere will see the MXFs from the P2 cards natively.

The only work around I can think of is to use the files on a Mac with FCP.
