  • Change the media offline warning image?

Posted by David J. smolar on June 19, 2012 at 2:32 pm

Hi all. I’m using FCP7. Trying to setup an auto-QC system. It has an option to fail anytime it detects a certain frame image, i.e. when it hits the media offline red frame of death warning.

It looks for whatever jpg you upload to the software. But I’m realizing that, every time FCP7 throws you an offline warning, it includes the missing file name on the screen. What I need is to give the QC program a specific image to search for. So I think the best solution would be if I could change the default image that FCP7 uses for the media offline warning.

Am I nuts with this? Is there an easier fix? Will FCP take whatever image I give and super the missing file name anyways??

    Thx, djs.

You would need an SDK and it’s not available.
