HDV or P2?

Make sure you select 16:9 in both Compressor inspector and DVDSP preferences and Simulator.

Speaking of RED here is some new information.

New REDCODE RAW codec supports RT playback in Final Cut Pro 6.0.2 and editing of the QuickTime Reference movies generated in camera. The new patch, available for download on the RED website: https://www.red.com/en_US/apple also allows playback of REDCODE RAW movies directly from QuickTime Player or other QuickTime enabled application

make a reference QuickTime Movie and drop that file into iDVD.

iDVD manual tells you how to do it.

You can mix 512MB ,1GB, 2GB or 4GB modules.

You must install in pairs. You can mix 512MB and 1GB sticks inside the MacPro. RAM is very cheap these days. OWC will buy back your old RAM.
