When Apple moved to OS 10.7, there were specific details on how to retain QT 7 during the install process. QT 7 works fine with Lion and Mountain Lion.

This has nothing to do with Installing FCS 2. It’s a very old software program not written for the newer operating systems.

Happy Holidays Ned. There are no templates that I know of. Depending on how many faces you want to see on the screen at a time, resize your clip and place on video layer. Copy and paste attributes then move the clip over. Repeat till you fill your screen.

Educate the producer to shoot in the delivery format. Shoot 1080i/60!!!

Are you working with HDV, MPEG 2 or long GOP footage? If yes, they are your problem. If working with ProRes, you should have no problems.

With this many drives, you need to run RAID 6! If 1 drive fails, everything is lost.

Have you gone into your Energy Saver and unchecked Put the hard disk(s) to sleep when possible?

The advantage the MacPro has is expandability. Add up to 3 additional internal hard drives, add more RAM and add PCIe devices.

With the use of third party hardware, you can actually have the same expansion with the iMac as the MacPro. One item is the 3 slot Thunderbolt Magma PCIe expansion chassis.

The iMac is just as fast compared to the MacPro. That is if you spend the $200 for the i7 upgrade.

I am sorry but you chose the wrong sequence setting to edit. You always edit at the same rate the footage was shot at.
