[Neil Patience] “I have not seen a free plug-in or other software to do this. Maybe someone else has a suggestion there ?”

Compressor can do it but Nattress plug in does a better job.

There are 2 indications. Yellow X means the clip can be repaired. RED X can NOT be repaired.

[Harry Dawson] “What would you do?”

I would use Plural eyes from RedGiant. I will do the syncing for you.

[Harry Dawson] “Is there a way to burn a TC track (not window) in FCP to HVX200 footage?”
    No.

If you have a Red X on the thumbnail, you can repair the clip. P2 cards close the file every 2 seconds while recording. If repairable, the most you would lose is 2 seconds from a clip.

February 3, 2013 at 1:18 pm in reply to: Media Manager is not doing what I expect it to do

It is acting normally. Subclips are just references to the big file. It doesn’t actually cut it up into smaller clips.

February 1, 2013 at 2:26 pm in reply to: Stock Footage, SD/HD and Mixed Frame Rates

[Niall Furlong] “they won’t allow SD footage scaled up to HD, or mixed frame rates”
Read the directions. NO SD and NO Mixed Frame Rates.

[Niall Furlong] “If I export a Pro Res HQ QT and use Compressor to turn into 29.97fps, are Vevo and Bitmax going to know that it was edited in 23.98 and with mixed frame rates?”
    They will know!

[Niall Furlong] “I am seriously hoping that I don’t have to re-edit the entire 7-minute track in the right frame rate!”

You need to follow the rules.

You have complete control over this project. You chose to use Stock SD footage. That is not allowed. You are wasting your time working on this project.
