From Dictionary.com, definition of venting as a verb:

to give free play or expression to (an emotion, passion, etc.): to vent rage.

to give public utterance to: to vent one’s opinions.

This forum has seen it’s fair share of venting over the last few weeks. I’m not saying it’s wrong, I fully understand peoples anger and disappointment and of course this is the right place to discuss it.

As for jumping on to people for pointing out flaws, exactly the opposite is also true, people who are trying to post about their positive experiences are being jumped on, just look at the post below.

Agreed use list view and the long filmstrip works very well for quick scrubbing, simply use the up and down arrow keys to run through your clips. Not having to click on a clip to load it into a viewer does save time when you have lots of clips to go through

Have you just upgraded from Snow Leopard and if you have did you do a clean install of Lion and FCPX?

If not that is most likely your main problem.
