    Finished project.

Sequence is 6 min 42 seconds
Project is 14 minutes 41 seconds.

Not one shred of media past the 6:42 mark.

Anyone know how to trim the Project to be something like 6:52?

I have to say that the built in help in FCP X sucks balls and in pretty much useless.

Copy pasting the selected clips give me a timeline of the exact same duration 14:41. Very strange. I don’t need the 8 minutes of BLACK at the end of the project.

What do you mean it’s 14m? When you export?

I know it’s obvious but are you sure there isn’t a black slug at the end of the project?

Have you tried “Search Posts”? Enlightenment may be there.

You probably have a gap clip at the end part of you project. Just click it and press backspace.

    Yes.

It was indeed a GAP clip. One that I had put in to tack material to at the end of the timline. The material was gone but the GAP clip remainded.

Dragged the GAP clip back to the time I wanted and life is good again.

I am having the same situation, I have a 4 minute long project but when it’s rendering it’s coming in at over 30 minutes. I checked the clips list and I do not have a slug at the end of the time line that would cause this. Any help would be awesome.

Is there any way to export selected (if I can’t get by with exerting all the black and trimming after in another program)?
