Nope, it’s set to 0. So, this is an anomaly with my machine? Does your CTI skip 10 frames at a time as well? I can’t believe that this is the norm, it’s got to be specific to my setup.

But if my CTI is skipping 10 frames at a time, and you can only place a marker at the CTI ‘s location, it would be a chore to drop markers to match any music beat, if not impossible. And I know that projects are timed to music quite often, correct? So how is it done?

Hi Gio,
I’d be willing to bet that you would have a better chance of getting an answer if you posted this question on a FCP forum. Most of us here would probably just advise you to switch to Premiere Pro, especially since it doesn’t seem to have any problems with footage from a Lumix FZ35.

A yellow bar doesn’t mean that you will be required to render the timeline for realtime playback. It means that you ‘might’ have to, and this all depends on your system’s specs as well as some settings within PPro.

You might want to simply import your footage into PPRo, flip the image, then export at the sequence’s setting. Same results, it’s just that you’re eliminating one step, and ensuring that your file will be of the highest compatibility with PPro and the particular sequence setting.
Depending on your budget, you may want to look at Cineform’s Neoscene for HDV conversion to Cineform’s codec, which is a much better editing format than HDV or H.264. You’d still have to flip the image in the edit.

There WAS an issue with Microsoft’s Intellipoint software which come with it’s wireless mice, as well as wired ones.

Perhaps this is what you are thinking about? Other than that, I join the other posters here who have been happily wireless for years with Premiere.

Sorry…should have said that it is not supported. Never has been when capturing HDV footage. In fact, CS5 is the first version that has supported Scene Detection for HDV capture.
