When ever i capture with my sony hdr fx1000 with cs5 premiere pro. The Capture window opens up and i get a message in the capture window. Saying something like ( view video from camera). Now i can still operate the camera from the capture window, but i cant view the footage from the capture window. I have to look at my footage from the view finder on my camera. Can anyone help me out with this issue?

Desktop Preview while capturing HDV footage is disabled. You can either preview the video on your camcorder’s LCD, or try a little program called HDVSplit. You can find it here…

What do mean exactly by it’s disabled? Do you mean that with the click of a mouse i can un disable it. Or you mean that it is inactive or unavailable.

Sorry…should have said that it is not supported. Never has been when capturing HDV footage. In fact, CS5 is the first version that has supported Scene Detection for HDV capture.
