When you first create a project, you are asked for the setting of the initial sequence. A project has no frame rate settings. Just accept the default setting for this initial sequence, because your going to delete that sequence anyway – you wont be using it. Once your project is created, and your clips captures from tape, simply drag one of your captured clips from the Project Panel onto the “New Item” icon at the bottom of that panel. That will create a new sequence with the exact settings that you need.

You capture in whatever specs it was recorded in. In your case that would be SD 24P.

As I said, simply drag one of your captured clips onto the New Sequence” button, and the sequence will be created for you with the correct settings.

As I said…for internet use, you probably should stick with any of the YouTube or Vimeo presets for SD 24P. Unless you have to meet some specific specs for someone, you should maintain your recorded frame rate and frame size specs for your output specs.

The easiest way to create a sequence for your clips is to drag one of the clips onto the New Sequence icon, and one will be created automatically to the correct settings for your clip.

As far as exporting for TV, and I’m assuming you mean for TV broadcast, that will depend upon what is required, or desired, by the outlet receiving your finished project. Contact them for a spec sheet.

For internet use, you probably should stick with any of the YouTube or Vimeo presets for SD 24P.

I’ve just tested with one mic on one channel with gain maxed out and level maxed out. Barely a flicker on the meter. Not a lot of room for operator error in that sense scenario. Looks like I have to deal with Yamaha support.

It is. I can also increase gain to the max as well as the Level Control for any channel, and the Level meter will barely flicker on the -20 Led.

If the design allows, just create a single title with the background look of the scoreboard, place on one track, then create titles for the numbers that you’ll need, then just drag them to the track above as you need them. Couldn’t be much simpler than that.

There is the Advanced Frameserver, but I don’t think it was ever ported to Mac.

We find that we rarely need to use anything but Ultra Key, found in Premiere, but I’m not sure it was in CS5.5. Otherwise we use Keylight in After Effects.
