You can uninstall Premiere CS6 without uninstalling Encore, if you wish to keep it. Also, uninstalling CS6 apps after installing CC versions broke some dynamic link capabilities, and necessitated having to re-install certain CC apps. Not a major headache, but not it requires another download, which can be problematic and costly if you’re on satellite Internet.

Yes, there was, and even more so going to CC. If you stay with CS5, you seriously need to think about transcoding your clips to an intermediate. Since we were on Windows, Cineform was our choice back then. I would imagine that ProRes will be yours.

You could also search your computer in Windows Explorer for “*.prprj”. This will show all Premiere project files on your computer.
