I am not able to see the video in the background when creating titles anymore. It had been working and maybe something got corrupted, I have no idea what is wrong.
I have done the obvious by making sure “background” is unchecked and “show background video” is checked.
This results in the title appearing on a black background. If I then uncheck “show background video” this results in the title appearing over the grey pixeled background.
Suspecting the possibility of a corrupt preference somewhere I started the program holding down the shift+alt keys to restore defaults. This had no impact.
Since this feature was working when I stared the project I am baffled as to why it has since failed.

I created a new project, with the same settings and the new project does not have this problem. So is there any way to create a new project and still keep my sequences and bins? Such as save project as…? Saving project under a new name does NOT work.

You can import an entire project into a new project, maintaining the structure.

    Asus P6X58D Premium * Core i7 950 * 24GB RAM * nVidia Quadro 4000 * Windows 7 Premium 64bit * System Drive – WD Caviar Black 500GB * 2nd Drive(Pagefile, Previews) – WD Velociraptor 10K drive 600GB * Media Drive – 2TB RAID5 (4 – WD Caviar Black 500GB drive) * Matrox MX02 Mini * Creative Cloud

Great idea! I tried it, however still the same result, ugg!
Since I imported the old sequences, however this helped me discover the problem had to lie in the sequence itself.

I made a new sequence, copy & pasted the master sequence footage into it and viola!
    Problem solved.

Adobe did a “bug fix” 4 days ago and now background preview in the titler is completely disabled- does not work in any sequence, old or new, in any standard format. Will try some custom ones.

I also experience the same problem.. actually if u open the title tool and go back to the timeline and scroll your playhead it will update to your title tool.
