The logistics of most weddings require any large (shotgun) mic to be placed too far away from the subjects. That produces poor sound quality and allows more ambient noise to interfere with the results. Wireless mics on the groom and minister have worked great for us.
As far as punching up the colors on a foggy day..just open Secondary Color Corrector and increase the saturation a little. It can make the colors more vibrant. Don’t over do it, though!
