I really feel Premiere Pro comes close. For me the transition over was easy because it looks and acts very close. Plus it does stuff you always wanted FCP to do such as working with RAW files. You can key footage and play it back with out rendering (plus the keyer is way better) a matter of fact, I usually don’t ever render anything. You can play your timeline and edit at the same time. The list goes on. It has some real time saver features.
