Apple Motion – Choppy Playback
Hey all,
I’m very new to Apple Motion and it’s functionality and am just trying to learn my way around in order to finish a project… I am trying to establish fluid workflow in regards to implementing motion effects/graphics– It’s a music video I was working on in FCP7 that i’ve sent to Motion 4. Upon opening it up in Motion I’ve noticed very choppy playback. I’m wondering what could be the reason for this, if there is anyway to correct it, or is that just the way the program functions?
I am working off an older model of the macbook (all white/rounded corners with about 3gb of RAM. I know this may be a causer however I’m sure I can make it work with a point in the right direction

The graphics card plays a big role in the speed of Motion. Also, the more things you add to your project it typically will play slower.

I finally got the program to work at least clip by clip. I’m trying to implement a title sequence but for some reason my media goes dark is there any reason for that ?
