Off the top of my head I think this would be the easiest way:
Add a Levels filter In addition to the keyer you have already added to the blue screen clip. Crank the levels sliders around until the person is just white.
Place the Background gradient into the project under the blue screen layer.
Right click on the blue screen layer and choose Blend Mode, Stencil Luma.

[Jason] Is there an Ease In/Ease Out function I’m looking past here or another parameter problem causing this issue? It’s a simple rotate of two different layers from photoshop, not 3D, nothing crazy.
Select your clips with the Rotation. Hit the Command a 8 keys to open up the keyframe editor. Select the keyframes and then right click on one. Choose Bezier. Hope this helps.

Two ideas:
1. In FCP, create a Black Color Matte and a white one. Put them both in the timeline and then add the clockwipe transition. Export that out as a movie. Import it into Motion and treat it as a Image Mask or Luma blend mode.
or
2. Create a mask and animate it.
