The font you choose plays a big roll in the process. Serif fonts tend to jitter because the Serifs are so skinny they have an interlacing problem. Make the font a Sans-Serif font or add some weight to the font. Also, you may want to play around with Motions new Credit feature. Best of luck and hope this helps.

I would look at the text size on some high end movies. Art of the Title Sequence has a bunch of opening titles for you to look at. Notice that the text is not very big on movies. Best of luck.

[Rafael] Nattress have a free “earthquake’ and if you google you will find some free “jiggle’ plugin for FC.
Be for warned that the Nattress “Earthquake” is a transition and not a filter. River Rock Studios had a free “Jifferbug” plug-in but I went to get you a link and it is no longer free.
That being said, Final Cut Pro comes with an Earthquake filter. Go to Filters, Distort, Earthquake. Take your keyed object and background and Nest them together and apply the Filter to the Nest so it will not mess up your key. Hope this helps and best of luck.
Also, if you don’t like that filter, Motion really does have a bunch of ways to achieve this effect.

You can change the length of the timeline in the bottom right corner of the canvas. To the right of the play controls. You can type in any number you want for the length of the timeline. Hope this helps and best of luck.
