Gate weave is what that’s called. You can imitate it in Apple Motion with a canned move in their effect library.

I tried Magic Bullet Gate weave but since the title was a keyed PNG it messed with the key. I will try playing with it or take it to AE or Motion

    Hi John,
Nattress have a free “earthquake’ and if you google you will find some free “jiggle’ plugin for FC.

[Rafael] Nattress have a free “earthquake’ and if you google you will find some free “jiggle’ plugin for FC.

Be for warned that the Nattress “Earthquake” is a transition and not a filter. River Rock Studios had a free “Jifferbug” plug-in but I went to get you a link and it is no longer free.

That being said, Final Cut Pro comes with an Earthquake filter. Go to Filters, Distort, Earthquake. Take your keyed object and background and Nest them together and apply the Filter to the Nest so it will not mess up your key. Hope this helps and best of luck.

Also, if you don’t like that filter, Motion really does have a bunch of ways to achieve this effect.
