Two great options: Turn snapping off temporarily while moving the object in the Canvas by holding down the Command key (apple key)
Or. Go up to View (below the Inspector button), un check Dynamic Guides. That will make it so you have no snapping at all.

DV is a probably why the logo doesn’t look good. Unfortunately DV is really bad for graphics. You say you are putting a logo on a video. Is the whole video in Motion with the logo….or is the video in FCP and you are importing the Motion project file into FCP and placing it on top of the clip in FCP?

Personally, I feel in the amount of time it takes to enable the Crop feature, move every crop slider you can add a rectangle mask and adjust the feather slider in the same amount of time. Plus, if you change your mind you can always add more points to your mask whereas you can’t with the crop tool. Hope this helps and best of luck.Stephen Smith

Ryan, When I first got my T2i I wanted to see what would happen if I recored over the 12 minute limit. Once the card ran out of space the camera stopped recording and I did not have a clip. The card has since then gone bad and I tried to recreate the same problem last night with a formatted card. I could not recreate the problem. So it must have been the bad card.

You may want to consider building this as a Motion Template. To learn how click on this link: Building Motion Templates.
As for your question. You can swap pngs by, selecting the new image in the File Browser. Then drag it on to the old image in the Timeline or Project Pane. Wait for a hooked shaped arrow and then let go. It will swap the images.
Or you can select your image. Go to the Properties tab. Go down to Media and you will see a box that says “To”. Select it and you can choose any other image in the timeline.

The great Camera Shootout shows the quality difference between the cameras. Be sure to check it out. The T2i is similar to the video quality of the 7D. https://www.zacuto.com/shootout
Cannon has a free plug-in so you can log and transfer the files directly in FCP. So it would be like editing any other digital format such as P2 footage.
