The dot THM files have information on it for FCP. If you delete them you will not be able to log and transfer the clips. If you rename the clip it will not longer match the clip name in the .THM file and will not be able to find it. When you log and Transfer the footage you can re-name the clip to what you want.

Because the files have been messed with you might want to look at using mpeg stream clip to convert the clips over to Proress.

The smoke.mov clip that comes with Motion for free looks very similar. The advantage to the Compositors Toolkits is that they are pre-keyed.

I think you will find a use for the $250 content outside of this project and it will be money well spent. As for the smoke…I would check out one that comes with Motion. Go to the Library tab, Content, Backgrounds, Smoke.mov. You’ll need to slow it down but it could do the job.

As for the Halftone stuff, you have a halftone filter and it can be found in the Filters section in the Stylize folder.

I would check out pond5.com A lot of their stock footage is European. I did a quick search and they have a ton of stuff for a lot less then $200.

The footage has to remain in the same file structor as it is on the card. For the T2i the folders should have the following names.

DCIM, 100CANON (then your files)

Sorry, I forgot to mention. If you are in 3D then you need to select the group that has the text and then hit F4 to open up the Group tab. Check the Flatten checkbox. Hope this helps and best of luck.
