If you are not seeing the pedals fall you need to wait for the clip to load. The talent is a still photo. Look at her white shirt that goes over the gray one. It has a transparent part. When a pedal falls behind it nothing changes.
I would run a test and see what you like for falling pedals since I imagine a Phantom is out of the budget. Also, Artbeats has a bunch of super slow motion falling pedals for sale, that could save you time and hassle.

Place your text in a group, lets call the group “master group”. Add the Scroll Text behavior to the master group…not the text. Flatten the Master group by going to the group tab (F4) and checking the flatten check box. Create another group and place your master group inside of that group. Go to it’s group tab and check the fixed resolution check box. Add a mask and if you want feather the edge. Hope this makes sense and best of luck.

Update: Ultimatte Advantedge does not work with a 12 core machine. I was not happy to find that out. Ultimatte tech support said this on March 10, 2011 “It is unlikely AdvantEdge will be updated for 12-core compatibility anytime in the near future.”
I started a new search for a keyer that handles hair and glass really well. I did a test with The Foundry’s Keylight and it did a great job, I was very happy with the results. My test clip took 13 seconds to render….with Advantedge the same clip took 3 minutes and 22 seconds. Keeping in mind that the test was done on different machines because Advantedge can’t work on a 12-core. Keylight is a lot cheaper as well. Not sure if I’m going to download a free trial of any of the other keyers because I was so happy with the results.
Can anyone think of a reason why I should test another green screen keyer plug-in such as Primatte?

If you look at the lens flare in the properties section. You will see the Blend Mode is set to Add. In FCP you need to select the clip / project file and right click on it. Choose Composite mode, Add.
If you need to export it out with an alpha channel here is one of a few options. Change the Lens Flare blend mode to Normal. Then add a Luma Key filter. Change the filter key mode to “Key out darker”. Hope this helps and best of luck.
