Simple Text mask
for some reason im stuck on this simple task. can not find any basic info on it in the help.
i want to mask a text element BUT the Mask buttons are greyed out.
am i missing something?

Place the text in a group and mask to the group.

Sorry, I forgot to mention. If you are in 3D then you need to select the group that has the text and then hit F4 to open up the Group tab. Check the Flatten checkbox. Hope this helps and best of luck.
