When I do a tutorial such as this Kinetic Typography tutorial I write the script and record the VO before I do a screen capture. I listen to the audio on my iTouch and pause it when I need to. I find this to work the best. I can’t stand tutorials when someone screws up or wastes time because they are winging it. I want to try iShowU HD Pro. If you do try it let me know.

I would treat my text like a cube. I would create a group. Place the text in the group and rotate the text to the way you like. Then I would add a rotation to the group. You may need to fade text in and out.

It would be a lot easier doing it for reals. If you can’t then I would shoot the Water on a black background and then use a blend mode to put them together. I can’t remember but I think it is the Add blend mode that you are after. You can try building it in motion but I think it will not look real enough.

Does the whole image look pixelated on a move? Or is it just in sections with thin lines?

I do work with Flash guys on PCs and what they need is for you to export out the video as a Quicktime movie set to the animation codec. It must be millions +. They bring that into Flash and with minimal clicks have the footage with a transparent background. They then add the background they want and etc. and then they export it out as a compressed flash file. Hope this helps.

That’s great. I’m happy to see more plug-ins being built for Motion. To bad it will not work in Motion 4. Where does it say that it is coming in August? Also, Red giant already has a lens flare plug-in for Motion (Not Motion 5 yet). I hope this plug in you can place a lens flare in a location and it will stay there when Motion’s 3D camera moves. Red Giants you would have to move the lens flare yourself with keyframes where as if you are AE then you can place it in a specific location and when the camera moves it stays put…not sure if I’m making any sense. Regardless, thanks for sharing!
