If you are going to move the image, place the image in a group and add the mask to the group so you can move the image independent of the mask.

The scroll Text behavior has a Reduce Flicker feature that can help. Choosing a Sans-serif font can help as well. Hope this helps and best of luck.

In the Viewer click on the little A in the filmstrip icon. Choose Text.

Depending on how bad it is. A trick is to duplicate the clip. Add a feathered mask next to the dust spot. Then move the clip a little so it covers up the dust spot. Hope this helps and best of luck.

Your photos may be to big. Make sure they are 72dpi. 300dpi is for print and will not make the image better because video is 72dpi. That will take a huge load off of FCP. For the memory try restarting your computer. Hope this helps and best of luck.
