September 7, 2011 at 4:07 pmNot by zooming; that introduces jaggy aliasing. Select your text and enlarge the font size. There’s a good short tutorial on how to sue character generators in the FCP online manual in your help files.

September 7, 2011 at 6:30 pmIn the Viewer click on the little A in the filmstrip icon. Choose Text.
Here is a link to a Final Cut Pro Quick Tips tutorial that will give you a short cut.
Best of luck.

September 12, 2011 at 10:32 pmThanks for the link.. I’ll check it out tomorrow.. but my biggest issue is not how to get to ‘text’.. but I’m having trouble with getting a full screen of copy as a static and as a scroll. The copy comes out as one long line instead of a column.

September 12, 2011 at 10:34 pmOnce that is figured out.. and I know it’s simple.. I’ve done it before..
I will also need to get a black back. WHen I delete the video, white appears. -

September 13, 2011 at 2:54 pmYou have to hit return to create a new line. I have not tested this but in Motion, if you type the text in the Text program that comes on the Mac it will keep every time you hit the return key or where the next line begins. If you past it from word it becomes one long line of text. Is this what you are after?

September 14, 2011 at 2:53 pmIn FCP I just add a Slug or Matte, Color which defaults to gray so you will need to change it to black. Or you can just put white text in FCP and the back ground defaults to black.
