That is strange. But, as I said, you can put any format into an AVI container, and someone did. CABAC is Context-adaptive binary arithmetic coding. It is used in H.264/MPEG-4 AVC video encoding.
What camera was it shot on?
Just for grins – I’ve seen stranger things, try making a copy of the AVI file and rename it to MP4.
You might also try MPEG Streamclip to transcode it.

Gary James of Vegasaur fame (https://www.nfatoys.com/moasoftwarellc/) recently ran into exactly this scenario just recently. You can find his posts on the Vegas forums: Audio file strangeness
His solution was: “I used Format Factory to copy the .MP3 to a WMA file; then I used MP3TAG to copy the .MP3 tags to the WMA file. Now the WMA can be opened up in Vegas. I’m just curious as to why this particular .MP3 behaves so strangely.”

Get Mediainfo to find out what the AVI container contains. You can put any kind of video into an AVI container, so you need to know what codec was used to record it.
DO NOT install a Codec Pack – those are for gamers, for playback of strange codecs, and will replace your really good codecs installed by Vegas with really inferior ones.
I would predict that Mediainfo will reveal that you are looking for the DivX or Xvid codec because Vegas works with just about anything else that you usually find in an AVI file.

If you SOLO a video track, all other video tracks are muted. If you SOLO an audio track all other audio tracks are muted. If you select more than one track and solo any one of the selected tracks, all the selected tracks are soloed. An oxymoron, I know, but if I have sixteen audio tracks and only want to preview two of them, then I select those two tracks and hit the solo button.

As I said before – you can’t. In fact, I am curious that the client gave you a file “… which has 2 video streams and 4 audio”. In 12 years of video editing, I’ve never seen this. What is the source of the video file?

Because it’s still in your project. Click on the lightning bolt in the “Project Media” window to remove unused media from the project.
