Digital juice has a product named “Motion Design Elements, Volume 21, Fire Revealers” which will do exactly what you want. But I don’t see it on their website. Send them an email and ask if it’s still available.

You need at least 2X your estimated project size free on your temp folder and your target folder. So if you are making a 4.7Gb DVD file then you need at least 9.4Gb free on both folders.

I understand your question. The answer is no. Your target folder gets a copy of the nested veg file, not the media that the nested file points to. Vegas treats the nested event exactly as any other event.

Open the Task Manager, find Vegas, right click and select “Analyze Wait Chain”. There should be nothing there, but if there is, it may indicate the problem.

But I have been quite happy with Sony DVDA which comes with Vegas.

Probably not. Around here we consider a disc with less than 100Gb free as full because our projects tend to take 50 to 75 Gb, often more, to store all of the work files for the whole project. This includes any artwork for the DVD label and menus, credit roll files, original video materials, and any slides or other client supplied materials.
That said, the white screen could be a result of not enough resources. I get it sometimes when any program uses some paging space, but I just wait it out.
With Vegas running, go to the Resource Monitor (resmon) and in the memory tab, sort on the commit column to see if there’s something hogging the resources that can be stopped.

Try deleting all sfk and sfl files – Vegas will regenerate these as it needs them.
