I’m not following the question – are you trying to open a second instance of Vegas from the Vegas Explorer window? I never use the Vegas Explorer Window, so if this is what you are trying to do, then I would have to test it.

You can save any individual FX setting for use on other events or projects. Just make your FX changes, then save the FX with a preset name of your choice. When you want to apply the exact same FX to another event, track or media clip, just select your preset from the dropdown menu.

Wouldn’t saving an FX chain do what you are asking for? Look for “Creating FX Packages” in the manual.

No, but if you download Everything (no, really, that’s the name of the program – https://www.voidtools.com/), then search for your file, the results is draggable, like in Explorer, and can be dragged into another folder or into an application.
Everything is so unbelievably fast that I use it more often than Windows Explorer search.

I seem to recall that you can do this with a DVD Script and a Command marker. But I have never heard of anyone actually using DVD scripts – so if you do get scripting to work, please share with us.
You can set a loop point to delay the display of a menu button, but just one, and it just delays the button appearance.
Or you may be thinking of the “Buttons on Video” feature of DVDA.
Whatever is your solution, please share with us because I have never seen any discussion of these features in the boards.

I can’t help you with the immediate question, but I do have a tip for you.
DO NOT EVER INSTALL A CODEC PACK
Codec packs are usually written for gamers, for fast playback rendering. They are lousy for file encoding and when you install a codec pack you usually replace the excellent codecs installed with Vegas with really inferior ones.

You didn’t say which camera you are using, but it’s probably using a CMOS sensor. Rolling shutter is endemic on CMOS chips because of the progressive scanning nature of the electronics. The image is made from scanning top to bottom, much like you read a book. Rolling shutter occurs when something changes in the frame, like pans or movement in the time it takes the chip to be fully scanned from top to bottom.
