Opening Vegas Crash
Is anyone else beside me having trouble opening Vegas12 within Vegas itself. It always crashes when I try it. I have to open my projects in Windows explorer (not the explorer when Vegas is already open)

I’m not following the question – are you trying to open a second instance of Vegas from the Vegas Explorer window? I never use the Vegas Explorer Window, so if this is what you are trying to do, then I would have to test it.

I open Vegas12. When it’s opened I use to be able to double click the veg file and it would open. Now doing that it wants to render something or other.
So I left click on the veg and after about 10 seconds ore more I get the option to open it but when I do, it always crashes.The only way to open a veg file now is either use the list of 6 previously opened projects in the file drop down menu or open a project in Windows Explorer.

I am still confused – are you double clicking on the veg file in Windows Explorer or the Vegas Explorer Window? What happens if Vegas is not running and you double click on a veg file in the Windows explorer.

That is the only way he can open his veg file, Stephen – by double clicking in Win explorer. Happened once to me but windoze was in a weird state at the time and after rebooting all was OK.
Windows 7 Pro64, i7 CPU, 16GB RAM, SSD boot drive, GTX 570 Graphics, Vegas Pro 12
