I’ve had that happen to me too and have never been able to figure out why it does that. Interestingly enough it’s only Apple devices that I’ve had this problem with.”
It depends on the player. There is metadata in the mp4 file that tells the player the orientation. Some codecs respect it, some don’t.

For static images, I have used Photoshop to remove the beckgrounds, but with animated overlays, I have to depend on chromakey or luma keying.

Wow, am I embarrassed. My earlier response regarding Relellerratings.com was for the UK firm: Ultrabooks. Not Ultraboooks.
Ultrabooks has a good rating, Ultraboooks is unknown to resellerratings.com. It’s not uncommon for a scam site to use a misspelling of otherwise good retailers to trap the unwary. It’s probably good that you cancelled the order. If you gave a credit card number you may consider cancelling that card.Steve Mann

July 17, 2013 at 1:52 pm in reply to: Vegas 12, Will not render multiple projects togetherDepending on the encoder you’re using, you are re-rendering already rendered footage. While I doubt it has anything to do with your original question, the preferred workflow is to complete each chapter in it’s own project and drag each chapter’s .veg file to the timeline of the master project.

“and then marry up the two.”
Completely unnecessary. Just leave it as two tracks.

Duplicate the track, make one the left only and the other the right only, then edit the offending event like you would any other event. Maybe turn on the volume envelope and duck the level where the wind noise appears.

July 15, 2013 at 6:15 am in reply to: Infinite hang at 97% while rendering — what do I do?Vegas doesn’t really care where the original media comes from, as long as it’s compatible. Everything on the timeline is an event. An event is simply a pointer to a media clip. (There are no clips on the timeline, just events). You can have any number of events pointing to the same media clip.
Lesson over.
I would zoom way in at the questionable frame to make sure that there isn’t something strange in the timeline.
Also, did you use Resmon to see what is hanging the program?
So, the third audio track is just a copy from another track?
