We did all that and much much more. I was on the phone with Manny at DJ for three or four hours over the course of two days. I gave him access to my PC and he was deleting and reinstalling a lot of library, log, and other files.
Nothing worked.

If you want the graphic on the menu to move in response to a button click you have to do it with a short video clip between menus. It can be done, but it’s more complex than a simple project.
Look for Transition Menus in the forums.
Basically, a menu button action runs a transition clip and the end action of that short video clip is the next menu.

Just curious, which two? In my case it is “Oval Orbitals” and “Block Openings” that go missing when a filter is selected.

Grazie, I appreciate that your PC doesn’t play well with GPU support, but many more do.
I have three systems here running various versions of Vegas. One is a 2-core laptop with no CUDA cores, but the other two are pretty typical. One plays beautifully with GPU support and the other sucks. The one that works as expected is only used for Vegas. The one that sucks used to play well with Vegas until I moved it into general purpose usage. My general-use PC died, so I built a new one and moved my editing PC into the general use desk. I installed my MS Office programs, Photoshop, Email and Chrome. I also installed other programs that I use frequently – a website developer program, a rolling credits generator, a video capture program. Probably a dozen other programs. all installed and ran just fine, but somewhere along the line the formerly functioning Vegas GPU support got hosed. Vegas without GPU support still works just fine, but I can’t enable GPU support.
It would take me days or even weeks to figure out which installation hosed Vegas’ GPU support.
The bottom line is, when it was one of the only programs installed on the PC, Vegas ran perfectly. Only after installing a lot of other programs did the GPU support get hosed. And this is somehow Vegas’ fault?

How I made the MGM logo with new text.First, make a image capture of the original video. I prefer to make a BMP using the render as Image Sequence template. (I think the image is better than the preview frame grab).
In Photoshop
Cut a hole for the lion.
Now, make a new layer under all the other layers and use the eyedropper tool to get the background color. Use the paint bucket tool to fill the new background layer.
Erase the original text and the new background should show through.
You also need to erase a hole in the background for the original lion to show through.
Use the standard text tools to add the desired text. I used “Nueva Std” and made it the color of the gold ring around the lion.
I added Bevel and Emboss Layer Style to the text:

Technique: Smooth
Depth: 42%
Direction: Down
Size: 5px
Soften: 0px
Shading
Angle: -76
Altitude: 26
Highlight Mode: Screen
Opacity: 75%
Shadow Mode: Multiply
Opacity: 75%Dave the PSD file for later changes, then save as PNG (to preserve the alpha channel).
In Vegas,
Track 1 contains the PNG
track 2 contans the original MGM logo, but the hole in the PNG file allows only the lion to show through.
While not completely necessary, I added a cookie cutter circle arouns the lion’s head. This made it easier to make the fade-in and fade-out smoother.Steve Mann
