Digital Juice
Posted by Stephen Mann on July 19, 2013 at 5:55 pmIs anyone else having problems with Simplexity from Digital juice?
I have tried on three computers, and in every case Juicer3 does not show all of the Simplexity projects in the preview. One of these PC’s has nothing else installed. I built a new PC, installed Windows 7/64, Quicktime (required by Juicer), and Juicer3. It’s been the most successful installation so far, but there are still two previews that simply don’t show in the Juicer preview.
It makes me unlikely to buy any more DJ product until Juicer is fixed.

July 19, 2013 at 8:15 pmThats odd. Never had any problems with their Juicer.
I use the latest version (3.89d), i just bought
Simplexity 7 since week, previewed everything and extracted
with no worries.
However, using the juicer can be tricky at times, make sure you
tick all in the drop down list in the left panel pertaining
to the simplexity version you have, and go thru it further.
Dont know if that will help!Steve Rhoden

July 19, 2013 at 9:11 pmThe filters seem to be the problem. Before clicking on any filter, I am seeing 279 items. When I click on “All”, it drops to 209 items.

July 21, 2013 at 5:42 pmSteve,
Having read your post I went and checked – I have 4 Simplexity products, 03, 05, 06 & 07.
Simplexity03 seems to have two missing projects. Expanding “Set”, they are listed but nothing shows up when they are checked. All the others are complete.Have submitted ticket to DJ.
Cheers for now,

July 21, 2013 at 6:10 pmJust curious, which two? In my case it is “Oval Orbitals” and “Block Openings” that go missing when a filter is selected.

July 21, 2013 at 6:33 pmSame here Steve.
Here’s the bizarre thing:
1. Click on SET and both are listed, but when clicked, get a blank window.
2. Click on PRODUCT and both are visible and can be previewed, etc.
3. Now click ALL under PRODUCT and they vanish.Just tried re-installing and not checking ‘Skip Previously Installed…’, no go.
Also tried re-installing and this time checking ‘Skip ….’, still no joy.Will post back DJ’s response.
Cheers for now,

July 21, 2013 at 10:23 pmWe did all that and much much more. I was on the phone with Manny at DJ for three or four hours over the course of two days. I gave him access to my PC and he was deleting and reinstalling a lot of library, log, and other files.
Nothing worked.

July 22, 2013 at 2:27 amI think the Juicer uses the XML files in:
C:/Program Files (x86)/Digital Juice/Juicer 3/catalog/UpdatesXMLe.g.:
R2GSVPRO_V12INS.xml
R2GSVPRO_V13INS.xmlCOW’s CODE button doesn’t format worth crap; I replaced < and > with [ and ].
If you open one of these, it has:
[product id = “Ready2Go for Sony Vegas Pro” name = “Ready2Go for Sony Vegas Pro” … ]
[volume id = “Vegas Collection 12” name = “Vegas Collection 12” number = “” … ]
[parent]
[folder id = “Vegas Collection 12” displayname = “Vegas Collection 12” thumbnailimage = “”
type1 = “4” type2 = “Ready2Go for Sony Vegas Pro” type3 = “” contentType = “Vegas Templates”
VID = “Vegas Collection 12” Vname = “Vegas Collection 12” version = “1”
Vnum = “12” catId = “” catName = “” subCatId = “” subCatName = “” subSubCatId = “”
subSubCatName = “” volType = “Ready2Go for Sony Vegas Pro” PID = “32”]
[content id = “122_CosmosSunshine_ET_HD” displayname = “122_08 Exit Text HD”
type1 = “4” type2 = “Ready2Go for Sony Vegas Pro” type3 = “Templates”
contentType = “4” folderName = “Cosmos Sunshine HD” TTFFileName = “Cosmos Sunshine”
description = “Templates” resolution = “” resx = “” resy = “” originalfps = “”
frames = “” matteName = “” motiontype = “” seamlesslevel = “” previewColourId = “”
isIOL = “0” matteContentId = “” canBeOpndWthExtr = “1” dpi = “” encodingtype = “1”
alphatype = “” audio_file1 = “” audio_file2 = “” full_screen_frame = “”
song_length = “” thumbnailfilename = “” reserved1 = “122_CosmosSunshine_ET_HD.veg ”
VID = “Vegas Collection 12” Vname = “Vegas Collection 12” version = “1”
Vnum = “12” PID = “32” subSubCatId = “” subSubCatName = “” volType = “Ready2Go for Sony Vegas Pro”]
[keywords/]
[filters]
[filter name = “Cosmos Sunshine”/]
[filter name = “Vegas Collection 12″/]
[filter name = “HD”/]
[/filters]
[/content]I’d venture that Juicer is using the values in the “filters” section.
You could look for the appropriate Simplexity XML file and look for:
folderName = “Oval Orbitals HD”
folderName = “Block Openings HD”Just below that should be the filters block for each project.
Maybe something is missing.
Just a guess. -

July 22, 2013 at 3:56 amWhen DJ was into my computer remotely, the XML files were deletes, recreated, edited, examined – nothing looked amiss to the DJ engineer.

July 22, 2013 at 3:02 pmGood thought Tyson, but the Simplexity XML files are a bit different to the regular R2G ones.
Cheers for now,
