Vegasaur will do it. It’s not free but well worth the $99. I use it practically every time I have a complex edit.

I would wait on the Kepler until I *need* it for GPU assist. Once your processor power gets fast enough, GPU support becomes less of a factor, even a hindrance since it takes longer to prepare the data and send it to the GPU than for the processor to just process it without the GPU.

Try a different codec. You may be seeing MPEG artifacts which are unavoidable with high contrast solids.

I know Mac’s are the way to go in video industry
Says who? Oh, yes, Mac owners.
In Vegas the most bang for the buck is in processor power, followed by RAM, which is comparatively cheap so it makes sense to load up on it. Use an SSD for the O/S and programs, but move your Documents, Downloads, Pictures and Music folders to the spinning disk.
Unless you plan on editing 4K files, you do not need RAID.
