I’m not sure which workstation you are working with on this issue. You listed ATI graphics, but do you have both ATI and nVidia on the same PC?

CUDA is nVidia. AMD cards use OpenCL.

You are describing banding, an artifact of compression of solid colors. Sounds like you found a good solution.

DVD is *by definition* 720×480 pixels. After viewing it in 1080, 720 will look worse.

First, peaking at -12 dBm is pretty close to what you want. However, your cassette player probably can’t pump out enough watts of power to burn out your PC sound card inputs. A 70-Volt PA amplifier, on the other hand, could.

If you’re going to do a lot of these, you might find this to be more appropriate.

we are going to meet with the local cable (Community Access) TV station to see what projector they have. As far as software goes, our budget is zero, so a $400 software package is out of the question.

We’re likely going to need to pass the hat among our sponsors to rent a decent Barco projector.

I will probably make a scale model of the building out of foamcore and use a small consumer projector to show our sponsors what we want to do.

Perhaps it’s the use of the term “import” that is leading us to the wrong direction.
Just drag the media file or veg file to the timeline.

If the veg file that you are embedding has missing media could lock up the process. Open the veg files in separate instances of Vegas and purge (lightning bolt) the unused media from the Project Media.

Also, are all the veg files from the same version of Vegas? If the embedded veg file is from a newer version of Vegas, it won’t work.
