February 19, 2014 at 2:01 pmYou say your AMD-powered system is too slow. Too slow doing what? On boot-up? During renders? If it’s regarding render speed, all the CPU tests i’ve seen on Tom’s Hardware and AnandTech have shown the AMD processors to not really be that good for video edit workstations.
Unfortunately there’s not really anything you can do except maybe overclock the CPU, but I would not really recommend doing that.
What type of system drive(s) are you using? You didn’t state this in your post. Are you using SSD or ‘regular’ hard drives?

February 19, 2014 at 5:24 pmYou can’t expect renders to be super fast!
It has it’s own pros and cons. The project you might be rendering may have a ton load of effects, which will in-turn slow your PC down.Since you have a Cuda GPU,in the render windows of Vegas Pro 12,select “Render using GPU” this will speed up your render as Vegas will use your GPUs’ Cuda Cores.

February 20, 2014 at 12:04 am(Stephen Mann)CUDA is nVidia. AMD cards use OpenCL.
I am using gtx 650 because my motherboard support nvidia cards.

February 20, 2014 at 3:07 amI’m not sure which workstation you are working with on this issue. You listed ATI graphics, but do you have both ATI and nVidia on the same PC?

February 20, 2014 at 4:13 amWhat do you mean by Crashes when you turn on GPU Acceleration?
Well,if Render times are too long for SVP 12,Why not work in SVP 11?There are only minor updates. -
